Dakota is quite the snuggle bunny. She is especially fond of my blue bath robe. She loves the texture, and she must be able to distinguish color as well, as she favors this over a green version of the same robe.
Dakota loves climbing around her cage - and really loves her bungie. She'll jump from the Bungee to her rope perch, then climb up to the links of plastic chain that hold her coconut toy then back to her Bungee again. We love to watch her carry on.

The Infamous Coconut Toy
Dakota enjoys exploring in her big play cage. She has a 32x23 dome top cage with a FeatherBrite lite on top for playtime. Her sleep tent and some other toys are located in her smaller sleep cage.
Here are some recent pictures during playtime. She loves to take her almond treats up to the coconut toy and use the coconut to help support the almond while she eats it. Then she goes back down to her treat bowl to get another treat, and repeats the same technique!
Yoshi is a new addition to our Flutter Farm Family. Yoshi joined us July 5th, 2009. He is a Green Cheek Conure (hatch date 3/18/09) and is quite in love with his new mommy. He spends lots of time snuggling with our daughter and he enjoys bathing in his water dish the moment you add fresh water to the bowl!
